I Want To Be Happy - National Jukebox #audio #podcast

Ok, I tried really hard NOT to blog about this but surrendered immediately. Dr. Gary Stager shared a link to Rachel Maddow's blog entry about the Library of Congress and the new National Jukebox:

Library of Congress presents the National Jukebox, which makes historical sound recordings available to the public free of charge. The Jukebox includes recordings from the extraordinary collections of the Library of Congress Packard Campus for Audio Visual Conservation and other contributing libraries and archives.

Can you imagine NOT listening to the vintage content that comes with scratchiness built-in?!? I'm just enchanted by voices like Elizabeth Wheeler's I dreamt in marble halls dated 1909.

You can setup a playlist with your favorite songs....

"We're born, live awhile, then we die...life's a very funny proposition after all...hurried and worried until we're in the grave."

Neat to see the wisdom of the day and hear it...I keep coming back to the song at the top of this blog entry. What a mood changer!
