Texas Virtual Learning Coordinators (VLC) Group #onlinelearning #edchat

This past summer, I had the opportunity to visit an urban school district that was making things happen in regards to the Texas Virtual School Network (TxVSN). Not only had they hired a Virtual Learning Facilitator, but they had hired and were in the process of providing professional learning for approximately ten virtual learning teachers. Wow, amazing!

As I reflected on how far many districts have to go, I started asking some of the questions my district had experienced of the virtual learning facilitator. Surprisingly, that individual was also struggling with the same questions and issues. At that moment, we mused, "Wouldn't it be neat to have a virtual learning coordinators group where we can ask these questions and find out what others are doing?" At that time, I vowed to facilitate creation of a group.

For that reason, I invite you to join the Project SHARE based Virtual Learning Coordinators (VLC) Group. I'm not sure where the conversation will go, but it is for that reason I'm grateful for the forum.

See you online! As Tim Holt has shown us, there's no charge for membership in this Texas Educators group.
