TWEET FOR EETT APPROPRIATIONS TODAY! #EETT

You have the opportunity to influence today's important House Appropriations Subcommittee vote on funding for the Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) program in FY11. Please use Twitter, Facebook, and your own blogs to bring to the attention of House Appropriators a video from students that shows how important technology in the classroom is to them.

Background

Today, the House Appropriations Committee will determine funding for EETT in the FY11 budget. As you know, the President’s proposed budget zeroed out funding for the EETT program in FY11; we are concerned the program may receive a bad appropriation number during today’s mark-up.
We must tell Congress how important EETT funding is to our students. Please tweet the following messages, which include a link to a video on YouTube where students describe how important technology is in today’s learning environment, to members on the House Appropriations Subcommittee. Encourage your neighbors and colleagues to also tweet, and if you have a blog, spread the word that way. Please also consider posting it to the members’ Facebook pages.
