Conference Announcement - Podstock SW 2010

The Texas Computer Education Association’s (TCEA)  Podstock Southwest technology conference is rapidly becoming the premier educational technology conference in West Texas.  Held every August, Podstock SW  draws hundreds of educators from nearly every school district in far west Texas.  If you did not have the opportunity to attend Podstock SW last year, you are in for a treat. Podstock SW is TCEA's Area 19 technology conference (a scaled down version of the TCEA Convention and Exhibition held every February in Austin, Texas). Over the course of two days attendees have the opportunity to choose from, and attend, over 50 different concurrent sessions all of which are focused on the integration of educational technology into your classroom or school.

Our conference organizers have been hard at work over the past couple weeks to ensure a memorable learning experience for you, and I wanted to take this opportunity to update you on some items:


  • Registration for Podstock SW 2010 is now open! To register simply log on to http://imis.tcea.org/WEBACCESS/Core/Events/eventdetails.aspx?iKey=19AREA10&TemplateType=A  If you have trouble registering, you may need to create a new account at the bottom of the screen.  If you still have issues simply call the TCEA offices at 1-800-282-8232 and we will gladly assist you.
  • The Podstock SW 2010 Conference website has been updated to include a schedule of events...be sure to check it out at http://sites.google.com/site/podstocksw/.
  • The Call for Proposal is still open and some wonderful sessions have been submitted.  If you are interested in presenting a session at Podstock SW 2010 be sure to submit your proposal before July 9, 2010.  A link to the Call for Proposal can be found on the Podstock SW website.
  •  If you are interested in volunteering to help organize this year's conference, or helping out during the conference, please provide us your contact information at http://snipurl.com/podstockswvolunteers.
  •  Lightspeed systems will be sponsoring lunch this year.  Thank you Lightspeed Systems for supporting what is rapidly becoming the premier educational technology conference in West Texas.
  •  Xirrus High-Performance WiFi will be sponsoring this year's evening social.  Look for more information about this year's social in a later email...if the evening is anything like last year's social it is sure to be a blast!  Thank you Xirrus for your support.
  • A number of companies, including Atomic Learning, WYSE, and PASCO are sponsoring Podstock SW 2010 at the Gold Level,  their support is sure to help make this year's conference better than ever.

Registration:   $50 (Conference registration includes two days conference admission, continental breakfast, lunch, and one-year complimentary membership into TCEA).
