Picasa 101

When I first installed Picasa on my computers, I was delighted to see such a powerful tool made available as an alternative to iPhoto. Now, Jim Henderson (MakeUseOf.com) has written up a great series on Picasa 101:

The series is definitely worth checking out, especially if you've been looking for an alternative to iPhoto and Flickr. Personally, I like to spread my photos out among both services (Flickr and PicasaWeb) for backup purposes, so I email pictures from my camera-phone to both. It's not difficult to setup and do.

For example, here's a picture of an ice disaster at a San Antonio, Tx icemaking plant:

I snapped the picture at lunch and sent it to my Picasa account. A mountain of ice in warm, sunny San Antonio.....
