Backing Up Google Sites

Google Sites has a lot of possibilities as a wiki. However, until a Google Sites owner can backup and restore the content, it might as well not exist. In reading up on the subject, I ran across this discussion which recommends these solutions....

  1. Use WinHTTrack Website copier
  2. Use DownloadThemAll Firefox add-on to save the web pages to your hard drive.
  3. On GNU/Linux, use...
    wget -r --cut-dirs=5 -nH -w 7 --random-wait --restrict-file-
    names=nocontrol --user="$GOOGLE_ACT" --http-passwd="$GOOGLE_PWD"
    $GOOGLE_URL
None of these are the best solution...which is a built-in way of backing up. Of course, I shouldn't complain...my stuff is scattered across several wikis. That's another way to backup, too, isn't it?
