Action requested…
The Texas Virtual School Network (TxVSN) is asking assistance in getting the word out about the TxVSN Student Course request.
The Texas Legislature and the TxVSN staff is interested in learning which courses Texas high school students would like to take in the future. TxVSN uses the Student Course Request (SCR) tool to collect student “Wish List” data. The completion of the SCR does not obligate the school or students to take an online course, but does assist the Texas Education Agency and the TxVSN Central Operations in long-term planning and reporting.
Texas district and open enrollment charter schools are strongly encouraged to have their high school students provide input through the TxVSN Student Course Request (SCR).
How do you do that? The steps are outlined on “Student Request Flyer” and “Fast Fast” flyers located at http://www.txvsn.org/SchoolsDistricts/Resources/tabid/152/Default.aspx
There are also “canned announcements” available on this same page.
It would be appreciated if Tech Apps, CTE, and librarians would encourage and facilitate having students complete this request before or immediately after Winter Break.
Thanks for your help,
Barbara Smith, TxVSN Project Director
